Barrel releases for Father’s Day. Which would you choose?

I’ve always been a huge fan of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof. Even the “off batches” are better than almost every other offering in that price range. However, I noticed that the age of these bottles are 8-9 years old. The age on the regular release Barrel Proofs is 12 years. I can’t help but think that the extra 3-4 years in the barrel helps to round it out to the remarkable juice it becomes. They are also $10.00 higher than the regular Barrel Proof. Just food for thought. Personally, I’d buy a Barrel Proof just to see a how the younger bottle compares to the 12 year.
Do us a favor and let us know what you choose and what you thought about it.
Cheers!
