The Botanist Gin. With fresh mint and a lemon wedge on rocks.
Juice Drop Hazy IPA by Breckenridge.
Mountain Beach, with pineapple, lime, and guava.
Southern Tier 2XPERIMENTAL West-Coast Style Double IPA.
First mojito of the season. Both peppermint and spearmint are just coming on, else I would've made another. Havana Club 7 as my rum.
One of our favourite breweries is Other Half in Brooklyn (they have other locations now, too). This is a collab with J. Wakefield in Florida. This is Snowbirds Imperial Stout, aged for one year in a Willet Bourbon Barrel with Coconut, Marcona Almonds and Cacao Nibs. 14.4% ABV.
The Glenturret 27 Year Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Amazing pear notes. Caramel in the front, fruit in the middle. Great stuff.
Kavanaugh Single Malt Irish with my Kendal Black Cherry in a meer while listening to the dulcet tones of Mike Phillips' tenor sax.
Took off from work a couple hours early. Fords Gin w/garlic stuffed olives. Thunderstorms moving in, listening to Mother Nature.
We're in Iceland, watching these two little ones.
Going to try something new I picked up in the Duty Free Shop at Keflavik: Douglas Laing's Small Batch BIG PEAT Islay Blended Malt Scotch Whisky. It's sharp on the nose, tastes young, has some nice pepper and leather notes. It has a short finish and is a bit astringent. It's not terrible, certainly drinkable. I may add a drop or two of water and see if that smooths things out. I probably should've picked up an Exclusive Travel Edition of the Smokehead we haven't tried. Maybe on the way out.
We were hoping it might clear up tonight and possibly see the Northern Lights, but it's just windy and rainy. Seems highly unlikely.

Evan Williams White Label bottled in bond is actually very good, IMHO.
If you ever get a Paglione Oak Bottle, Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond can be taken to a whole new level with two or three days in one. It becomes significantly smoother and tastier. Our friends thought it was a much higher end whisky and were genuinely surprised by the difference.
