There's an upshot to this hysteria, though: finally families can spend time together, children can finally have mommy home cooking them real meals, lockdown is a golden opportunity for parents not just spend more time with their childrend but to teach them practical things and skills that will be of great benefit to them in the future.

Above all, the closure of the schools is a much protracted blessing and public service to the youth: finally they are getting a break from all that indoctrination and ungodly BS they've had rammed down their throats for years under the guise of 'education'.

I'd do anything to keep my kids out of public schools.. in Alabama we have no public education. Our schools are just behind MS for the worst. Haha shitty thing is they're still charging us for the private school even though school is closed.

Food? We in the USA have more than enough. Plenty of glitches in the supply train, due to hoarding and panic buying. That will eventually dissipate unless the Yahoos (the Jonathon Swift ones, not the web presence) somehow take over.

Hoarding has gotten worse where I live. Went out to the store(s) today. Of course, no paper products still. Most meat wiped out. The frozen food shelves were half gone. No potatoes. No bread. Milk about gone. Heck, even laundry soap was almost gone.

Exactly. I was stupefied by the baking isle this afternoon: there is no flour. I mean, none, not even that commie whole wheat shit that I am the only person who ever buys it. For over 10 years I had to dig through nearly expired bags to find a fresh one, and now it's all gone. My county's population is approximately 10,000 people. It would seem that most of them suddenly took up baking.

They might not want to deal with pre-baked goods anymore as it means touching the bags they come in constantly. Lately, I find myself washing my hands every time I take my supermarket-made sour dough boule out of its bag: I open the bag with one hand and take the bread out with the other; wash my hands; slice the bread; put the remainder back in the bag; seal the bag; wash my hands; then handle the slice I cut out. Nuts.

but the hand-wringers are NOT in charge?

The "hand-wringers" get the press but, normalcy will be achieved by those actually addressing the assorted problems accompanying the virus.. Some, not many, politicians may be considered as problem solvers. So ... no, thank God, the hand-wringers are not in charge, they just get the "face-time" and ink. You and I won't hear much from those actually addressing the situation, they are too damned busy. Do not err and mistake the talking heads as being in charge.

Rest assured, even though our interpretation of things differs greatly, there is very little in this world I take at face value.

And as for the "talking heads" I value my consciousness and my time way too much to subject myself to any of their bullshit.

Except for these Talking Heads of course:
