Don't worry; it's been circulating since November or even earlier; Tradespeople have been coming back and forth from China for many months. Everyone is going to be fine. This is a mass panic. Only elderly and sick are prone and even so it's not that bad. CoronaVirus is listed on disinfectant bottles like C Diff Mers Sars Influenza. You were at risk for that as well; don't let it stress you out. We are all being herded like cattle and our freedoms are being compromised; That's a bigger deal. They cannot keep up locked up like this for long periods of time so I'm banking that this will all be over soon.
I essentially agree with everything you said except perhaps the last sentence.
But regardless of whatever one chooses to believe about "Covid19" one thing is certain...if the general "shutdown" that is taking place now does not ease up substantially very very soon, the economic devastation will be the end of the world as we know it.
For those who believe this shutdown is necessary and justified (I do not) I trust you at least have some understanding of the ramifications. Even though I disagree with Harris regarding the virus itself, I couldn't agree more with the statement he made in another thread:
If we don't get a handle on this soon our economy will completely crash.
I am 62 and have seen some serious economic shit storms but this dwarfs aii the others combined. We are headed for a depression like the world has never seen before.
Literally MILLIONS of people in the U.S. alone have already lost their jobs and/or businesses either temporarily or permanently because of this "shutdown" and it's barely getting started. The vast majority of Americans have little to no savings or self sufficiency of any kind. There are already huge lines waiting to get into stores everywhere and the inventories are massively depleted. Many necessary items cannot even be found online right now.
IMO it cannot be overstated how serious the implications and domino effect of the economic fallout from this could be.
Hope for the best...and I would say prepare for the worst, but the window for preparing has mostly past now.
