I know the joy of grabbing that 'unicorn' pipe that just sets a collection of. Enjoy the neck out of that thing, as I enjoy my Christmas Pete 
Tim, not to be a Debbie Downer, but if that pipe is from Italy you need to check it over with a fine toothed comb. One Dots in Europe aren't the same as One Dots that crossed the pond to the US. Also, and not to disparage Italy, but be careful about the authenticity of the stummel.
Thanks for the heads up, Ash, but, at least from the photos, I am very confident in its authenticity. The size, proportions, shaping, the beveling of the rim, the stamping are all dead on. It if definitely a Sasieni stem. Again, the shape, dot, and button are correct. The patent number 242513/25 is a Sasieni patent, but not the most common 150221/25. I'm pretty confident it's a winner!

If you truly are on the edge, finance wise, it makes good sense to get back into the black as soon as possible and put as much of a buffer as you can in the savings.
It's generally good advice at any time, however, there are a number of indicators showing that the upcoming 1-5 years will present a financial burden.
It's not particularly related to any one country or their policies. It's the market. Enough large banks and investment funds -with enough money wise people to pay attention to- have been quietly (unless you read the financial news) positioning themselves to brace for it. In short, the record runs on the markets cannot go on indefinitely. Be sure there's a chair for you when the music stops. Even if you don't have investments, shit flows downhill.
Anyway, not to dampen your good time, just a friendly comment in case you've put it on a credit card or something similar. That can be very close to the edge for some people, if the situation changes. Could be good to kick back with that beauty and plot your financial future so more beauties like this are in your future. You still have some time, and good luck and happy puffing.

Well, it arrived today and, as far as I can tell, it looks completely authentic and original. If anything, it looks even better than in the photos. The one thing I wanted to check that I couldn't see from the photos, was if the tenon was threaded (for the stinger). It is! With the size, shape, proportions, stamping, button shape, and correct dot, the threads make it (as sure as I can be) the real McCoy! Very happy with this one! I always considered myself more of an "acquirer" than a "collector", this pipe makes me think I may be starting to slide down that slippery slope!

Dave says, NEVER, EVER buy a "rare" Sasieni pipe from Italy. The stem looks all wrong to me, both in the profile veiw, and the plan veiw. In the former, the line from the shank/stem join to the button should be a straight taper, in the former, the same straight lines are what I would expect.
