You just described 99% of the forum, there.I find it odd that ngrown men feel the need to lecture others. I agree with you. People do best when they mind their own business. The internet seems to embolden jackasses and know it alls.

I forgot to add the modifier pompous to the noun, LOL. Man, does it ever bring out the worst in people. You just described 99% of the forum, there.
Late to the party, but a note about the Tin Bids search function. Their search does not show all the tins up for auction. I never seem to find my auctions using their search function. Even right after I list them. Thanks, I can’t believe I didn’t try that before!
Are you sorting the auctions as “latest added” or “ending soon”Late to the party, but a note about the Tin Bids search function. Their search does not show all the tins up for auction. I never seem to find my auctions using their search function. Even right after I list them.
people have been spending time trying to figure out what is going to be highly valuable and what isn't since sometimes around the invention of coins.I find it strange that everyone clamors for the CD special releases but on Tinbids no one is ever bidding on Eight State Burley, Steamworks, and From Beyond. I don't understand this, anyone know what is going on there. It's also nice to see the Sutliff flippers getting no love. They will eventually win, but I'm loving the resolve of the greater community. Fist bump
I for one don’t knowYou just described 99% of the forum, there.
Just to be clear, I consider myself in the 99%I for one don’t know! So for all you all, if you listen to what I say…you’ve been warned.

the internet is the fence around the barking dog. Once someone figures out how to punch someone through the internet things might calm down.I forgot to add the modifier pompous to the noun, LOL. Man, does it ever bring out the worst in people.
Brace yourselves! A wave of C&D XXV will be coming soon! Why do I get the feeling some folks buying up a lot of the Peter Heinrich's and F&T blends simply to mark them up and put them on TinBids are over-estimating demand?
Just checked out Tinbids for the first time. One auction is for eight bags of Esoterica, and the bidding is up to $2010 with nine days left. But if you think about it, that's about $23 an ounce, which is not bad really if you're really into that. But then there's an eight ounce bag of Penzance for $900. $112.50 per ounce. To each his own I guess...I think I'll stick with Pipestud for selling, always had great results with him.
I’ve gone through this string and can’t seem to find an answer to you question. I am having the very same problem. Yesterday I lost to an “automatic bid.” What the heck is that? Wondering if you’ve learned anything more since posting your question.I've tried bidding on Tinbids a few times. I can't get the hang of their auction mechanism. You can only advance a certain number of bids, you're top bidder as the clock counts down to 00:00, and then you find out (after the clock ends) that you lost.
Exactly HOW one wins a Tinbids auction is something that eludes me.
I've learned nothing since. I don't know why it didn't occur to me to ask, as I sat next to the Tinbids booth at the Chicago show for quite some time and even conversed with the owner at length in the showroom and the tentI’ve gone through this string and can’t seem to find an answer to you question. For some reason the word "shill" comes to mind.I find it strange that everyone clamors for the CD special releases but on Tinbids no one is ever bidding on Eight State Burley, Steamworks, and From Beyond. I don't understand this, anyone know what is going on there. It's also nice to see the Sutliff flippers getting no love. They will eventually win, but I'm loving the resolve of the greater community. Feel the same it ain't my money so who cares, however I do find the auctions on week old small batch blends almost as entertaining as a bad episode of Storage Wars so I like to watch and laugh at those.I have never once been to tinbids, nor does how someone else spends their money bother me in the least.
My advice is that if how people spend their own damn money bothers you, just don't go to tinbids. End of problem.
that’s about the most fitting analogy I’ve heard recentlyalmost as entertaining as a bad episode of Storage Wars so I like to watch and laugh at those.
