Here in Arizona, packrats are a real problem for behavior such as this. A lot of people keep lights on under their hoods at night to prevent such intrusions.Once I had some leftover popcorn from the movies, which I rolled up the bag and left in my car overnight. I forgot about it, and after a few days I remembered and went back to my car. A tiny hole had been chewed in the corner and all the popcorn was missing.
I drove around with a mousetrap in my back footwell for a week, nothing.
Then when it came time to do the seasonal tire changeover, I noticed a mummified mouse corpse stuck between the brake rotor and caliper. Poor guy was cooked.
I’ve been tweaking a blend I call Armadillo Wine !!OK, so...NO, I am not going to smoke that stuff, as tempted as I may be. It was left in the Mylar bag because I had been blending my favorite creation "Love Canal", which consists of:

I left a few ounces out in a bag, and apparently mice can smell through Mylar. Or they smelled what was on the package. Either way, it has inspired me to think about a shag blend that I'll call... "Mouse Nest".
FWIW, there was only about 2-3 ounces left in that bag. Still, that’s a lifetime supply for a mouse!I hope they at least smoked it in their tiny mouse pipes.
Not gonna ask!!!I’ve been tweaking a blend I call Armadillo Wine !!
I concur re the pack rats! After two expensive wiring repairs I got the intense blinking light contraptions(can't remember the name, but it might be something like Rat-Away?). No problems since. I put the battery version under the car, and the version that connects to the car battery under the hood. Here in Arizona, packrats are a real problem for behavior such as this. We had one get into the Subaru a couple of years ago, and the only way we knew was once it had died. I tore apart the fender, we took it to the mechanic, but nothing. Nobody could figure out exactly where it was. After 2-3 weeks, the smell died out, and last year I suppose I sold the car to its new owner with rat skeleton and all.
Yeah, but the coyotes! You got to get a cat!!
Get a mountain lion for the coyotes. And a cat.Yeah, but the coyotes!
Nah, you get a 45.70 for the coyotes, and the mountain lions, or trespassers...hell, the whole food chainGet a mountain lion for the coyotes. And a cat.
Hell, just get the whole food chain..
I live an hour outside Philadelphia and yes, we have coyotes. But it wasn't coyotes that got our Sweetie. It was mouse poison. Thirty year old mouse poison, put out years before we bought this house, and carefully stashed in the walls by the industrious intended victims. Thirty years later, another mouse found it, ate it, ran outside for water and Sweetie preemptively killed that mouse and ate it, poison and all.Yeah, but the coyotes!
