@woodsroad we had a lowbrow mouse that ate up a pouch of sutliff vanilla custard inside my 83 golf and got all juiced up (probably off the PG) and tore up my back seat and headliner. Then made a nest of the aro. What an asshole.
Hantavirus from mouse pellets is mostly west of the Rockies.
Had a mouse get into some Haunted Bookshop once. Died before it could do its second light. His little body was preserved for years. Even the crows wouldn't eat him. Had to bury him. The grass died where I buried his body. Poor mouse, if only he had gone for the Pembroke.
+1 for jars. I hate glue traps, but I would be tempted to use one and make a McClelland fueled pyre after you catch it.
He was a great guy. We live in an older house, stone foundation, and as long as he was with us, we didn’t have a mouse problem. Yes, sometimes he’d bring live mice, voles, chipmunks and whatever else he could catch INTO the house for us, but he always cleaned up after himself. Just a wonderful companion. We miss him dearly.
@woodsroad we had to put our cat down this past June. Probably one of the most set up things I will ever have to do.

I had mice eat through all of my Round Up bottles and then they curled up in my rolls of cloth row coverings for my garden and died. I had to throw away 100's of dollars worth of really nice thermal cloth, not to mention that the Round Up wasn't cheap either.
