I think I have the exact same paisley tie that's hanging in the middle! This is about 1/3 of my ties. I had a few decent ones already, but as soon as I entered grad school to become a teacher I also worked at an estate sale company. Any ties that come available, the uglier the better, found their way into my collection.

Me too! A couple more look identical to mine also. I miss having to wear ties. I still do from time to time but only because I like to. I enjoy the art of trying them, caring for them and the look they provide. Nothing wrong with feeling classy.I think I have the exact same paisley tie that's hanging in the middle!
I have a large neck and, as Cosmic mentioned, it's very hard to find button up shirts that fit right.
Only for Court appearances and funerals for me lol
I will have to go check them out. I prefer Van Husen fitted shirts. But, 19.5 is the largest neck size that they ever carry, and those sell quickly. I hear so many guys talk about how small the necks are on shirts. You'd think the industry would react to that.Macy's will measure me and order me the right stuff.

This works when the tie is too narrow for a full Windsor.
...just don't rip the buttons off my shirt. They're too hard to find in the correct sizes, ha ha.Gotta be careful around the ladies with this one. The half windsor is the most seductive knot because it's the easiest to untie. Basically screams that you're down to pound.
The “Mad Men” days are gone.
That's a lot of ties. I sort of had a thing for ties myself. When i retired, I donated about 40 of them and hung on to about 15.I wore a tie everyday in HS and college, then for 12 years in business. Now it's a rarity, but I like to dress up a bit sometimes.
I've thrown out only a handful, so have maybe 150 ties. Few as, uh, noticeable as Michael's.
