The C&D sale started soon after I placed my last order. This is some of what I have in my wish list. I am liking Pegasus so much I wanted to try some of their other burley blends. My TAD budget is shot so I will have to wait awhile for my next order. If I had only waited a few days. ☹️
That's how it goes. At least it was cheaper than next year! ;)

I blame @Singularis for his WI tobacco tax thread and my TAD relapse!

Ive not had any of the tin blends before. The one pounders are just additional stock of favorites.

Guilty as charged. I imagine that will extend your cellar by a couple years or so! Great selection. Hope you can enjoy a bowl or two of something new to you soon. John Marr is one that I ought to revisit at some point. Dreams of Kadath is strong. Wear your big boy pants for that one! Cheers!

I really do appreciate the heads up on the tax, even if wife and wallet dont!

I look forward to trying the Kadath!!

re! I’ve got one more healthy order to put in this year then I’m spent lol. Here’s to hoping for a sale in sutliff bulk soon! As for the three friars I got, I smoked through four ounces of it pretty quick. It wasn’t my favorite but I kept coming back to it especially after it had six months and more age on it.

Three Friars is underrated for sure. If you like Haunted Bookshop, then you would enjoy it. Same components, but heavier mix of Virginias with the Burleys more condimental, as with the Perique. A bit more easy going, buttery, and creamy than Haunted Bookshop, with a bit more light topping as with Pegasus.

I might need to place another order before EOY!

For me it did! But this one definitely needs some age on it. After six months it got good, then after a year very good. But like I said, not my favorite, but it was good enough to keep me drawing back to it a lot. Get 4oz, or more if you want, and try it out. If you do get some, and don’t like it, shoot me a pm and I’ll take it off your hands :)

Ok, some TAD goodies are in the house!

I just bought my first filtered pipe, a Savinelli Trevi Rusticated (320) 6mm.

The roof of my mouth has been getting irritated, so I needed to try a filtered pipe, and so far this has been helping. But the Vauen charcoal are quite restrictive and mute the flavors. The balsa seem pretty nice. I’ve been told the meerschaum filters don’t mute, so I later ordered some White Elephant I’m waiting on.

Some blends from the forum members I received…

From @B.Fee, 2016 GLP Regents Flake and 2016 Sixpence. ❤️

From @dottlejockey in the ziplock baggies; GLP Penny Farthing, GLP Cairo, GLP Sixpence, Manil La Brumeuse, GLP Géométrie, 2010 GLP Haddo's Delight, and last, his Home Blend.

I was fortunate and found these for retail on the last Germain drop.

I have my TAD relatively under control (for now). Picked up two tins of Maple Shadows II and one Golden Days of Yore.

Apropos of another thread, Tobaccopipes.com added a $4.50 OTP tax on the tin of GDoY making it rather pricey. Seems high compared to similar tax collected at SmokingPipes but I need to look into it further.
