A delightfully fast delivery from Estervals in Germany to the Midwest USA today. Placed the order on Wednesday afternoon! Some HU blends, a Solani, a Bill Bailey Balkan pouch, and some Robert McConnells that have been out of stock in the USA forever. Looking forward to cracking some tins!
(There was one error in the shipment, I actually ordered the McConnell Latakia Mixture 1848, a clone of the old Dunhill BB1938, but they sent me the Latakia Flake. Easy mistake. I’ll be following up shortly about the missing tin.)

All of this is from 2011ish. $10/tin. Never had any but felt like a nice English blend lot for fall with lots of age. Any comment on these blends?
For me, Westminster is about the only English I reach for anymore. I really enjoy it.

Got home from a very productive trip to Florida and had a couple pipes and a couple TAD orders waiting.
TAD was 4 tins of Black locust, 2oz Ken Byron Ventures Mr. Christian's Acadian Flek and 4oz KBV Burley Morning Pipe. Both have been sampled and enjoyed. Now to find their perfect smoking vessels. Let the games begin...

Lots of fairly high octane goodies from SmokingPipes arrived today! I've never tried any of these blends before so it should be a lot of fun sampling them. In case the text on the labels is too small to read, the two bulk blends are Gawith Hoggarth Dark Flake Aromatic and Dark Flake Unscented.

All good blends you got there. Dark Flake Aro is one of my favorites. The non aro is stout like a good espresso. WH Green is awesome if you like liquorice, and I do. Gawith must have really toned down the sauce in the latest batches then, because I had to open the baggie it was in before I could smell it! The batch of Dark Flake Aromatic I got in the mail today just has a faint cedar chip aroma to it, which is pleasant but much milder smelling than I was expecting.
Just tell me that War Horse Green doesn't taste like mothballs like War Horse Bar did (to me at least) and I'll be happy!
