The vegetal nature of 2020 CRF is what makes it so unique for me. Most other red VA seem to center around a deep stewed fruit flavor.
I may just have to try Interlude. I like CRF but to me it's missing something and this may be it.By the way, I mentioned earlier that CRF and Interlude are nearly identical in terms of cut, color/appearance, and of course, flavor (except for a slight honey casing)...here's a photo I just took of CRF on the left and Interlude on the right.

Agree I personally love sutliff red VA.The one problem I have with some of the comments on this thread is the damning of Sutliff for doing something “disgusting “ to their tobacco, an implication that they added vinegar. Where is the “proof” of this? Has a representative or blender for Sutliff been quoted as adding this to the blend or are we using the same senses that we are criticizing others for using?
The flavor. You’re missing the flavor.I may just have to try Interlude. I like CRF but to me it's missing something and this may be it.
I believe that I am the only one making this conjecture. But, nowhere in the above posts do I deem Sutliff in the wrong for having made this blend. I started by merely responding to a post saying that McClelland's added vinegar to their blends. Reread it. I didn't even mention Sutliff until someone else did. However, if I want to deem Sutliff's blend disgusting, it is every bit my prerogative to do so. Mixture 79 is also disgusting. The Honda Element is disgusting. Tarantino movies are disgusting. I also hate Dustin Hoffman in all movies he has attempted to act in.The one problem I have with some of the comments on this thread is the damning of Sutliff for doing something “disgusting “ to their tobacco, an implication that they added vinegar. However, my deeming it disgusting doesn't mean that they did something wrong. Whether they grew the vinegar in test tubes or merely sprayed catpiss on it, the proof I need is in the pudding. I hate it as it stands. But, if you like it, so be it. I will bet there is something that I like that get bashed by someone out there, and I don't lose a bit of sleep over it.
If someone posted that they hate C&D Habana Daydream every single day on this forum, that does not bother me one bit, nor takes away from the pleasure that this blend gives me.
I don't have a problem with this at all. More for me.C@D SUx
Lol
Yeah, but if someone claimed recently tinned Escudo smoked in a cob is enjoyable...... well, that might cross some lines. If someone posted that they hate C&D Habana Daydream every single day on this forum, that does not bother me one bit,

I actually do respect and enjoy sablebrushes posts very much. He is an expert in so many areas. And, I have conceded to him on jarring tins; however, I myself do not recommend most folks just indiscriminately jar everything. But, that doesn't mean that I don't find value in him suggesting it to others.I rather enjoyed watching the two lovebirds spat. I noted to never fart in front of sablebrush unless I wanted him to evaluate what I had eaten the previous 2 meals.
Dammit! Hush!! I really enjoy C&D's Red Virginias, but I don't want everyone rushing over there to buy them up. They already seem to be out of most of their bulks.
Nice parsing. Be it cat piss or vinegar, you are doing no more than making a conjecture similar to the ones that you were admonishing. I do not have a problem, either, with anyone’s likes or dislikes. I have not formally debated since high school nor have I coached it but, that sort of tactic is a bit specious.I believe that I am the only one making this conjecture. The judges haven’t cited me yet, ha ha! This isn’t a high school debate. But, if it were, I’d point out that the point that I was making was that there is irrefutable proof that McClellands did not add vinegar, which offsets conjecture about them.Nice parsing. I just think on this one issue that we tend to bump heads. But, I think that if he reflected a bit, we would probably see from the same perspective. Otherwise, I would just ignore him, ha ha. But, as I have said, I respect the hell out of him.
