Next stormfront due in two hours. We’ve got 10-12 neighbors at our house for now. Had to find parents for a few stray kids... was nerve wrecking.
Crap, this storm front sounds like hammers being shaken up in a plastic bucket!!

It's heading to me in Tenn. right now. Hear the thunder and the sky just turned black. Next couple of hours should be interesting.

STORM HELMET W/GOGGLES
The front hitting the SE hit us last night, and brought a buckets of rain and winds, and they usually get stronger as they move east. Hoping you make it safely through the storms!
We have an office in Birmingham, the City and surrounding areas got hit heavy with tornadoes and hail. We are a General Contractor specializing in Insurance Restoration work, we will be very busy moving forward I think. I just hope nobody was hurt or killed. Lots of areas were absolutely demolished, this hit heavily in Cosmic's city. Michael, please post your status here as soon as you can, I hope everything is good for you and your family.
Just went through news reports in the area, three to five dead after a tornado in Shelby/Calhoun counties. Storms still tracking through the area through the night. Wishing everyone the best.
I’m alright. My neighbors, not so much. No one was killed, but lots were trapped in their houses. Our friends that lost houses will stay with us till they can figure out a plan. We are currently buckled down for another line.
But, I’m going through this half dazed from yesterday’s second covid vaccination. nauseated and feverish.
I haven’t even smoked today because I haven’t been able to taste or smell.
I’m in Shelby, Old Town Helena that’s been in the national news for a few hours now.

I grew up on an island. Those straight line winds and storm surge were what we feared, along with the tornadoes.

We survived. Our neighbors got it much worse than us. I merely have to replant our mailbox and do some raking. Our power was back on late last night.
But, some weren’t as lucky.
