Thanks for the plug Al. I'll work with anyone to put together a size/design that works for you, using a wood, and finish of your choice. I had a bit of a backlog, and I'm finally getting caught up. I need to get back with gwtwdbss as I am designing a piece for him.

Al, thanks, the birds eye is pretty cool on this thing. I believe it is made out of burl wood. Did you happen to see what my rack sold for, I am curious what they are going for. I am pretty sure it is no longer made.
eaglerico, I got mine back in 2001 from Joyaal's Liquor in R.I. He was in the cigar and pipe business as well as the liquor biz and I traded him a box of Cuban cigars for it. I got a hell of a deal.

Well the criteria when I built this rack a couple years back was to hold a full week rotation, had to have onboard storage for pipe cleaners because I hate going searching for them, it had to be cheap (under $20.00 material) and couldn't take more than an hour to build from start to finish (less finish) I chose maple because I had some laying around. It had to sit solidly on my desk and be heavy enough it would not get knocked off easily due to plans, or papers and clutter. If anyone wants dimensions I can send them along. Contructions methods are about as easy as they come and even those who have a jig saw, a hole saw and some sandpaper could make a reasonable facimile.

@austinxpipe...its not actually a pipe rack. My local post office was closing down and I dug this out of their skip. It a rack for ye olde postage rubber stamps. Unfortuantley its a little short and has to stand on a box for the pipes to sit properly...it do however rotate, endless fun.
Oh cool! I'll keep that in mind when our local PO closes

I love seeing all your pipe racks! Especially the larger ones... It makes me feel less guilty about how many I have. Haha!

Just wait until you see what gwtwdbss and I are creating. Taking an antique design and redesigning it to hold more pipes and storage,

@sebastian. I'm still drawing up the plans, and gathering the materials. It will be nice. My biggest problem these days is my full-time job keeps getting in the way. Don't they realize I have things to do. Lol. I'm just happy my clients are patient fellow pipe smokers.
