Im here admiring these setups yall have, I need some suggestions as well for a good knife, something in the style of a buck, not serrated, folding blade, wood finish, small enough to go into a pocket with a phone or wallet. Any suggestions would be great!

Also would love to start a thread showing our setups, whether its at the desk, in the garage or "man-cave". I tend to find it interesting to see what others have at their setups, often leads towards inspiration for my own!

Thats a great question. I suppose if this will be an EDC and we are talking something Id like to depend on with my life if needed. Lets say no more than 200. That sounds like it would afford a very well made piece of kit.
Plain edge, wood scales, along the lines of a Buck 110...

Here's a Spyderco with a great steel. It's a slip joint- doesn't lock open- like a traditional pocket knife.
Spyderco Chaparral

Here's an Italian brand - Fox- with two different blade style options.
A very nice stainless steel and liner lock.
Fox Dream Catcher

If you're more in to a one hand operational knife..

Here's a Giantmouse Nimbus with Micarta scales..
GM Nimbus

A more aggressive styled folder from Chaves..
REDENCION

Or you could stick with a trusty ol Buck!
An updated 110, the 112 has S30V steel and thumb studs!
Buck 112

Either of those sites, KnifeCenter & BladeHQ are easy to navigate and have huge selections.
You can search and filter- should come easy to you.

Awesome! Much appreciated. I will have to look into each of these.

Cavicchi Canadian and a microtech. Sharpest knife I’ve ever felt.View attachment 362065
Pretty sharp pipe too!

That inlay was a nice touch! You’re amassing quite the collection.😎
Kevin has been in the game for a good while now. You can find some pre-owned examples for under $1k.

I've got another coming today (scheduled to anyway) from France that should be a REALLY cool one.

My Danish Sovereign pipe and my Opinel knife. Danish Sovereign was a seconds line for Stanwell, I use it for Kentucky blends, and Opinel is one of the oldest and most prestigious French knifemakers. Opinel products are very affordable in large part because of their utilitarian and minimalist design, very high quality blade with a hilt that's sturdy but nothing fancy.

Though it's a a multi-tool, my Leatherman Skeletool is my EDC blade as I am almost never without it. I've been carrying this one daily for about 5 years now. I've carried a lot of different knives and tools over the years, but at some point I decided if something is going to take up space and weight on me, it has to have several functions for me to justify it. The Skeletool has done that task better than anything else I've owned so far. It also happens to make for a nice impromptu pipe rest. The pipe pictured is my Dr. Grabow Lark.
