Two VERY beautiful pipes! At this point in time, I only have two Blatter & Blatter pipes.
Patrick Blatter, the pipemaker, referred to this pipe as a Lovat when I selected it at the shop; it has no saddle bit stem; the shank is round, so it's not a Canadian (but, it was literally made in Canada). I would defer to its creator, but it’s technically a Liverpool.

Here’s an estate Blatter & Blatter Billiard I picked up awhile back:

I’m not sure when I’ll get to Montreal next since the family members we visited have now moved to Halifax. It could be awhile before I can buy a pipe from the shop in-person.
Wow! Nice looking pipes! All my Blatters are great smokers.View attachment 309504
My wife picked these up on a trip to Montreal last year. We're just inaugurating them now on our new porch with some JJ Fox Vintage mixture from the late 80's-mid 90's.
The group is still around - it's just migrated to Facebook. This Blatter pipe was a special pipe commissioned by those of us in the former Christian Pipe Smokers’ Forum. My late pipe smoking mentor, “Rusty” as he was known on the boards, was a great source of information and challenge in that forum. I was his best friend.
This pipe is one of many that we had made by Robert Blatter in Montreal. It’s stamped with “CPS POY 2018” and “Blatter Montreal” on it. It’s a great little smoker and a beautiful ‘nod’ to a man who was respected by many.
