I've wanted a author for a long time. When I saw this one on sale at P&C I instantly pulled the trigger. Got to use my 20% off coupon code too. It's a 320 KS "Venere". The insert in the box explains "The colour of the pipe reminds you of the blonde and soft hair of Venus". That it does =)

Welcome to the 320 mafia Mike. That's a stunner! I had a hard time smoking anything else when I bought my first one. They smoke like a dream.

I believe Savinelli produces the best factory pipe in the market. They are consisantly good smokers and I haven't owned a bad one yet. I have over 40 in my collection and all are in my rotation. Obviously my guibleo d oro's, autographs, and nonpareils are my favorites due to there grain and perfect sizes.

Got my first Sav yesterday, an Accademia 111KS. The bowl is probably too big...but it's light for it's size, looks good, and smokes incredibly dry so far. It'll be for Oriental blends. You can bet it won't be my last Savinelli.

Yeah, this thread has been around for a couple of years, but I've never posted a pipe on it.
Out of the six Savinelli pipes I have, this seems to be a favorite of mine.

Straight Grain, 622ks with thick walls. A great smoking pipe!

And I'm not 100% sure about this one, but the B&M that I bought it from said that it was a Savinelli Second. It does look like a Savinelli shape 315.

Fun fact: I have bought a few Savinelli pipes since I won one in the cartoon caption contest. Had it not been for that, I would not have discovered their products.

Savinellis...other than "free hand" shapes, I love them all! Congrats on your acquisitions!

Current pipe du jour (or at least du morning!) A little Savinelli Tre Rus 614 I picked up at Gatlinburlier a few months ago when I was looking for a smallish briar but with a fairly good-sized bowl. Nice deep 1.7" chamber, good for an hour or more. Really sweet little gem.
