Actually this is the second pipe I purchased. Sav Autograph 000 after cleaning by Mike Walker.

They are fabulous smokers, and so far no sign of problems with the stems. I think the ONLY reason to get any of those super high priced artisan pipes instead of these is the look, name or rarity. These smoke at least as well as anything. They cost a little less than the Dunhill Root Briars and are better, and much rarer.

I have a few , but I smoked this one a few days ago , and I must admit , it is a better smoker than my Sav. Alligator !

Haven't figured out how to post pics from an iPad. I'll try the link since my last post didn't work:

Probably my favorite pipe: Savinelli Extra 504

Have been refurbishing/smoking it for about 3 weeks. It was my Grandfather's.

Loving these Savinelli's, although I can't say I own many! I only have one "proper" pipe from Savinelli, as in one designed for pipe tobacco which is the Savinelli Porto Cervo 614. Love the 614 shape but I haven't really explored Savinelli yet. The Porto Cervo though is the pipe I reserve however for a special day, and don't smoke too often. The minuto pipes on the other hand, well I kind of smoke those as I please! Photos below:
