Finally arrived. POTY in sandblast. Just weighing up what to smoke first in it. 
B42 is a deluxe system, at least I think it was released as a deluxe first then in the Premier and standard lines after, but I would have to reference for sure. I have never seen one of the Deluxe versions with a saddle S stem only tapered B stems, I always wondered if that had something to do with the shape name with the B in front of the 42
Go with a nice untopped non aromatic burley to break er in and not ghost the reservoir I almost always smoke a simple pure tobacco flavor burley or straight VA in my systems to break them in.
OR
Decide your favorite tobacco and just dedicate it to that
OR... don't listen to me because there are so many options you will think on it more than you will enjoy that gorgeous pipe. :D
I tend to dedicate my pipes to a specific family of tobacco, vanilla aromatics, fruity aros, Virginia's etc.

I've introduced my daughters boyfriend to Pipe smoking a petersons. He saw this pipe and loved it, not my cup of tea, but I did buy it for him.

We all wish we our girlfriends had a father like you. Heck, I would even just settle for a girlfriend.
I've told him about the Plip. I'll let him try one of mien once he gets the hang of it. Right now he's using a corn cob and a Peterson dracula I bought him.
He has unfortunately caught a case of PAD. Lol. Been with me for a week and wants to buy Petes. Poor kid, I've created a monster.
I'm tempted to say what I think about the looks of those BUT given the relationships of the parties involved, let me say that young man has incredibly fine taste!

Some of you may have seen this in another thread already, but I recently won this 1906 Pete Patent meer at auction. It was in decent condition, and judging from the bowl was not smoked very much. I was absolutely gutted when it arrived to discover that the stem had broken in transit, but I still think it's worth posting here for interest:
The fact they didn't remove the stem and wrap it up and just probably shipped it in the case would absolutely piss me off to no end. Whoever sold it is obviously a complete IDIOT. I hope you requested a major 70% refund for their screw up
