If the heritage stains were closer to $150 I don't think I would've been able to resist. Or if they did dark smooths for under $200.Ya should have snagged one, man.

Thanks for leaving us some RuasThat's a beautiful Rua! I was strongly considering fighting for one myself, but decided to pass. I have a beautiful rua 3s system that satisfies my love of the finish and didn't want it to have any competition
That's unfortunate. Fills, no matter how small, bug the crap out of me. There were historically only a few Pete lines supposedly guaranteed to be free of fills and POTY's weren't among them. Have heard folks complain of fills in various POTY's going back over the years. Since I have only 2 POTY's and both are rusticated, would never know if mine had them or not.First thought: Wow, this may be the most beautiful pipe I've ever purchased...

2nd thought: Why are there 5 pits / flaws on my pricey POTY?????
They are small, difficult to see, and perfectly smooth. But very unexpected...

You know it'll never be enough so just do your best and then make another one when it's fullNeed to make a new rack for my POTY. Trying to figure out how big.

I'm thinking about making a rack to hold 50 and only allocate for POTY. If I collect all of the current years that's gives me a few more years to add.You know it'll never be enough so just do your best and then make another one when it's full
Surprisingly in Etsy. They’ve got some decent deals and pipes. That's amazing. Where ever did you find that?
I find Etsy so annoying to look through but there are gems out there (and who am I kidding, my PAD far outweighs any annouance)Surprisingly in Etsy. They’ve got some decent deals and pipes.
Yeah I'm not sure what criteria they were using but the B42 came out in I think 2009 as a system pipe.A little late to post, but I am pleased. Sandblasted smokes great! Shape # should be 324so we reminder the year this System came out. It says first system in 3 decades, but that overlooks B42, no?View attachment 332740View attachment 332742
I love the 324 idea. Maybe 324 will be the pipesmagazine unofficial model number for the POTY 2024.A little late to post, but I am very pleased. Sandblasted smokes great! I like that too. I think a 300-level number makes more sense for Peterson's naming convention.I love the 324 idea. Maybe 324 will be the pipesmagazine unofficial model number for the POTY 2024.
In the pre-republic, wasn’t the naming convention for the first “3” to denote third rate grading?I like that too. I think a 300-level number makes more sense for Peterson's naming convention.

I'm not sure. I always thought the second number denoted a worse grade. Like a 308 would be normal and then a 358 (or maybe it was 368) would be a lower grade. I'm too lazy to check the book right now...In the pre-republic, wasn’t the naming convention for the first “3” to denote third rate grading?
I think you’re correct and my brain is fried today…I'm not sure. I always thought the second number denoted a worse grade. Like a 308 would be normal and then a 358 (or maybe it was 368) would be a lower grade. I'm too lazy to check the book right now...
