That’s no bueno. If you decide it’s a a dealbreaker, I’d expect a refund-not credit (just on general principle).
I don't want to fuel the negativity here, so I'll keep my opinion to myself. All that really matters is if the OP likes it and can live with the "flaw".

When I was a wood finisher we would always tell the clients that's part of the natural beauty, especially when you're dealing with a wood that carries that much birds eye grain in it.
Mine arrived yesterday and loving the grain and stain on this Rua. I was running out of time as they were going quickly. Luckily after reviewing all the other Rua finishes after the madness there was just one other pipe that was slightly better. Overall very happy.

I've heard the reasoning before especially considering briar is a root growing in dirt, but that reasoning never seems to fly in pipemaking
That's a beautiful Rua! I was strongly considering fighting for one myself, but decided to pass. I have a beautiful rua 3s system that satisfies my love of the finish and didn't want it to have any competition
That's one gorgeous pipe man. Don't let those tiny little fills bug you. They are pretty small. I understand though, when you're paying over $200 for a pipe you don't expect to see them, however these days, that's just not the case.
