Mine too, I see them perched in trees even during the day. One time I was smoking a pipe and I saw one and we just stared at each other for I don't know how long.
I've seen owls like that but where it's in it's back, fully packed it really looks like back feathers.

A brand new ÇELEBI, which as you can see, has only about a speck of “normal” meerschaum on it right there at the bottom. Got it for complete steal thanks to his awesome prices. Rough around the edges for sure, but just….wow.
.87 chamber diameter, conical, and likely about two inches deep.
For reference for how wacky this thing is, here is it next to an Altinay that has had only a single bowl smoked in it. Hoping it smokes my favourite Virginia blends well, as it looks like this thing is foaming at the mouth to color in a very interesting way, fast.
I usually save up coloring pictures of my meers for a single posting all at once, or just shoot a post into the What Are You Smoking thread, but I’m a little tempted to make an updated-as-it-goes coloring thread for it just because of how plumb crazy it is. We’ll see, I wouldn’t mind starting and upkeeping one if folks were interested.
I only have 1 meerschaum. I'd like to eventually get a straight billiard.
The wife got me this one for Valentine's day and even did a little research to make sure she got a carved on instead of a cheap pressed one. It's a good smoking pipe.

Finding a pressed one in modern times can be a stretch. I haven't seen one for many years.
