I picked up this Altinay Pot off TPC’s sale for Black Friday.
The specs were great being .80 Chamber Diameter, 1.32 Depth, 1.7 Inches Tall, 5.6 Inches Long and 54 grams. Open draft and also a comfortable button.
The wall thickness is impressive and the Silver work is nice and thick with the bonus of being a true spigot mount. If this is typical of Altinay’s work then he gets a round of applause from me and future purchases as he really did do a fantastic job.

Don't have it with me right now to photograph but the heel that is in the humidome is already picking up some color. I think these may color more dramatically than a full pipe.
It was. I had been watching and wishing for another meer and wanted to try Altinay out with a traditional shape and this particular pipe hit all the spec preferences for what I was looking for.
That sale email hit my inbox and with a quick double check of the site inventory I was able to grab what I wanted. Sometimes you win! Not often these days but sometimes
I’ll definitely be getting another Altinay soon and with an added cumberland. Much like yourself and with the advice you’ve given I’ve ended up with some great smoking meers and find myself reaching for them more times than not.
I do have to step up my game and get a figural so I don’t feel unworthy
and also a Stack for my Falcons as your last two are spectacular!
Hit up Tufan at pipesdepot on ebay or etsy. He's got several in stock right now but he does do commissions.
All my Falcon bowls have come from them. They’re fantastic to work with.
Not typically a shape I would jump for.. but the details on this pipe are wild.

SMS Calabash lattice (not hollow) meerschaum.
The heel is getting good and dark. Shouldn't be long before it starts to filter up the bowl.
No sooner had it arrived, I plugged in this bowl and filled it with G&H Island Mixture.
A sad mixup sent my lattice one elsewhere and I got a lifeless smooth one. I contacted Tufan but I'd say the recipient of the more expensive lattice will likely not be sending it back.

Just not a big fan of smooth pipes, I like differing textures.
