I have seen several of Einsteins pipes over the years!
Thank you, although it came with that beautiful patina, so I can't claim credit for it.That's is a beautiful shape. Do the cutty's get warm hence the knob like clay pipes?
The knob on a clay is there to strengthen the joint between the bowl and shank. On a meerschaum it's just there to mimic its clay counterpart.hence the knob like clay pipes?
Smooth w/ plateau rim…gonna color magnificently I should think.?️
....new purchase??
Yep, just dropped on SPC today. That brings my IMP count up to 7.....new purchase??
No issues with IMP? How is draft and drilling in your opinion?Yep, just dropped on SPC today. That brings my IMP count up to 7.
Well, they've made me make friends with acrylic stems and have none of that screw in mortise insert nonsense. Outside of commissions, they're my favorite pipes. No issues with IMP? How is draft and drilling in your opinion?
Mortise insert? You mean the white or black Teflon looking thingy?Well, they've made me make friends with acrylic stems and have none of that screw in mortise insert nonsense. Outside of commissions, they're my favorite pipes.
All meers should be spigots anyways lol
They would still need a sleeve to protect the meerschaum from tenon friction. IMP, Altinay, SRV and a few others use a delrin sleeve that is glued to the inside of the mortise. Their stems can be inserted and removed like a briar. Never been a fan of spigots. All meers should be spigots anyways lol
I have a couple reverse calabash meer's that are like pseudo spigots. I prefer banded meers so these suit my fancy. They would still need a sleeve to protect the meerschaum from tenon friction.
