Castello Sea Rock - Workhorse that means business
The beauty and quality of the raw, aged briar in that chamber is outstanding—and a big part of the reason Castellos such sweet smokers.Castello “Castello” KK Pot just Arrived today. Considering it’s first smoke and leaning towards Capstan

I have only a couple years worth of experience with the brand however I have yet to find a compliant about any of them. The beauty and quality of the raw, aged briar in that chamber is outstanding—and a big part of the reason Castellos such sweet smokers.
Excluding the stem work, that's my biggest issue with them. It makes them look like factory production or novice artisan.Just a personal quirk, of course, but I have difficulty liking the shapes of most Castellos. There's always something that's a little bit "off" regarding the shape.
Many Castellos have chamber coatings as well. The beauty and quality of the raw, aged briar in that chamber is outstanding—and a big part of the reason Castellos such sweet smokers.
I didn't want to say it.Excluding the stem work, that's my biggest issue with them. It makes them look like factory production or novice artisan.
Thank God, I don't buy many new pipes these days, but for the past few, they have been Castello's . I won't buy a new pipe that isn't coated. Castello's coating, like Peterson's, by my experience, is neutral. Many Castellos have chamber coatings as well.
I believe you Embers but I have to admit I've never seen one. Every Castello I've seen (a small percentage of the total of course) has been raw briar. What does Castello use for coating? Many Castellos have chamber coatings as well.

They tend to be on the pipes with fumed rims though I've seen others.Thank God, I don't buy many new pipes these days, but for the past few, they have been Castello's . I won't buy a new pipe that isn't coated. Castello's coating, like Peterson's, by my experience, is neutral.
I added this impressive G/GG Old Antiquari stack billiard to this collection yesterday! I’m very happy to add some variation especially with the beautiful blast and plateau top.I the past couple of months I’ve added six estate Castello’s to the collection. Here are four of them and pictures the collections they will join. Two of the pipes have been on my radar for many years and I’m very happy to finally have them.

New and very unique LOB Liverpool. 6.22 inches and only 0.88oz with a 0.64 chamber! Also an unusually fishtail-y bit for a Castello!
Gorgeous Pipe. !
