I added this impressive G/GG Old Antiquari stack billiard to this collection yesterday! I’m very happy to add some variation especially with the beautiful blast and plateau top.

Thanks! These big tall billiards don’t show up very often. This and one other of the eight pipes that I have were offered on a public source. I couldn’t press buy fast enough.

As to the coating on Castello pipes: I don't have any inside info and I'm pretty sure they are not telling, but... I would bet money that they use a light coating of button shellac to finish them off. It would take a chemical analysis to determine for sure. Anyone want to donate a pipe and pony up the lab fees so we can find out?

4k is clearly exaggerated here, the grain texture is nothing special
