Got this Perla Nera hybrid shape in off eBay. I love the Perla Nera finish and it seems very hard to find, especially in good condition. Anyone have tips here for how to maintain? Maybe light oiling with obsidian oil on occasion, keep the UV protectants up? I'm going to store it in my pipe drawer in a sock, as opposed to all the others freeballing it in there.

On this thread, back in 2018, Neil Osborne shared that the Perla finish is quite durable (more so than the Duhill Dress finish). Wow, back on page 18:

Acquired this chunky Scotti-era Sea Rock G just a short time ago and have been loving it with HU Night Owl. I've been a long time admirer. After having added a Caminetto, Ascorti and a couple Radices to the stable, it only made sense to give Castello a whirl. Great smoker and an open draw to boot. 
The huge castello 55 not only smokes great, it has a great overall feeling as well. Well worth it.
This just arrived from smokingpipes.eu estates. I didn't even realize it was on sale! I like a poker shape bowl but not actual pokers. This shape 89 looks more like a cherrywood variant in my opinion than a poker, which I very much like. It's an occhio di pernice from 2001. There is no "k" designation on the nomenclature but it has a group 4/5 bowl and very nice birdseye on both flanks. Like all poker/cherrywood bowls I've smoked it beautifully showcases the tobacco.

Has anybody got a side by side shot of a shape 33 and a shape 10? I finally nabbed my first 33 but I’m curious how they compare.

Woke to messages in my in box with screen shots and words to the effect "you got have this one, put this in the collection, this ones for you mate". Be wary of this man he's a certified enabler of the highest order
