Great pics. I've got three Dupont lighters that I love dearly. I don't see any laquered lighters on here. Are they less popular?

Do you know of a reasonable place to buy Dupont refills? What are your thoughts on the adapters available on ebay?

Here's one that I refreshed & sent out a while back. I forgot to take a dramatic photo of this one. Enjoy, especially if it's yours :

Authentic (serial # looks hand forged as it should be) although I've never seen that pattern before, but that does not mean anything as over the years they have made many, many variants. I definitely don't need another one but if you want to sell it. Enjoy.

Probably going to sell it as I am moving into an RV soon and reducing my pipes, cellar, etc. Don’t have 100 posts yet though. Soon, very soon.

Nice! It's an authentic Line2 Tall, & it has a Cigar-Flame nozzle.
Personally I found that Line1s with the barrel-shaped flame adjuster are the way to go for pipe-smoking, & Line2s are better suited for cigars. Got sick of the flame adjuster on my Line2 really quickly when smoking pipes.

Something wrong with the fire emoji? Shows up as question-marks (???) when I look at my earlier post. Testing fire emoji :

Hi I have just received my first DuPont Line 1 BR lighter and as I haven’t owned one prior to this my question is should there be movement in the flame adjustment wheel before any actual adjustment happens to the flame

I have roughly 3 swipes before anything happens, this is only after changing direction from one way or the other

3 swipes up and then it will take action and then to turn it down you need to again swipe it 3 times before anything happens

thanks in advance for any help 540D087B-0660-49B9-A367-A3E8E404BC50.jpegEB497DC9-DB02-417A-854A-C48B887466E0.jpeg29B70AC1-2C63-42C8-BAE9-16EF1A1DB11F.jpegBA23BEB0-32F6-495F-A29D-CE462DD28C11.jpegDF6C4D7F-686A-472E-AD25-9052AE6D9EAB.jpeg

Nice piece! Normal to have some take-up as you described in the barrel-style adjuster.

I just bought a 70’s L1 BS
F586EEC4-54AA-474D-A6B9-75B4E8FDB45E.jpeg
Can anyone tell me where I can get a fill adapter for it? I don’t want to order one from China and have to wait a couple months for it to be delivered.
Thanks

Some butane cans come with a set of nozzles. Sorry don't know which ones do.
Thanks jmpcwjr
I’ve got a can of Colibri gas (I think) that has multiple plastic adapters in the cap. I’d like a brass adapter maybe even one that screws in. After a bit of searching I’m pretty sure I found the right ones from Amazon.

Had a fellow pMag buddy & Dupont lighter owner ship this Line1 back to me for a Pipe-Flame nozzle install:

Nice!

Also, I'm testing out some more minor improvements to my "stowable mini-studio" lighting setup, & I'm still getting used to some new (to me) camera gear. Pic is a little blurry, I think I forgot to move the autofocus target onto the lighter.

I have an old Linge 2 gold and black enamel that i bought about 20 yrs ago new, used the hell out of it but then it shit the bed :( I’m assuming that the seals are bad as it doesn’t hold a charge anymore and even if it did the gold refills don’t always fill it, it got very frustrating and now it sits in a box. ?

I have an old Linge 2...
You can probably get at least $100 for it "As-Is - Leaking" on ebay. Having an authentic box helps the price. Condition of the lighter is key.

You could get it rebuilt through a factory-authorized servicer & even have a Pipe-Flame nozzle installed, but if you ask anyone who talks to me about it, they will tell you that I generally don't recommend the Line2s for pipe-smoking, mainly due to the bothersome flame-adjustment d-ring on the bottom of the Line2s. For me, it is an interruption to have to deal with the Line2 style flame-adjuster. It's a two-handed job. You have to pick out the d-ring. Good luck keeping the flame lit while doing all of this.

I go with a Line1 with the barrel-style flame adjustment. It's an easy, one-handed flame adjustment, even while lit. Much better for pipes, & there's a Pipe-Flame nozzle for them, as long it's the updated Line1 with the barrel-style flame adjuster.

Here's my latest Line1 acquisition, a silver-plated Line1 Tall with an "8-way flip" pyramid pattern. This one is going to be a shelf-queen =) :
