My take, after one bowl fresh out if the bag: it’s pretty tasty.

I do not possess a cultured palate, so I’ll be brief and general.
I do like the smoothly sour (yet not vinegary) note of the red Va, and the perique is very smooth and flavorful rather than just being “in your face” peppery spice forward.
Surprisingly mlld on the retro.

Surprisingly smooth is my overall impression, and the balance of the blending is top notch.

And another for today...on a road trip to DC, so I stopped in at Boswells's in Alexandria real quick. Grabbed 2 oz of Old School and some pipe cleaners. Old School is a good Burley blend with a touch of Virginia. Had a good talk with JM. 50 years of experience is worth listening to when you have a chance.View attachment 260016View attachment 260017
