Awesome thanks for the feedback#8 Slice is very good, I just smoked some this afternoon. It's a strong flavored tobacco (natural flavors I mean). When it comes to nicotine, I'd say #8 Slice is medium-low to medium in nicotine. It's a top 3 blend for me. Thanksgiving Day is also very good. @AcesAndEights gifted me a sample a few months ago. But it does have a unique flavor profile. It does have a "soapy" flavor to it. It seems it's a love it or hate it blend. The rest are new to me and they come heavily recommended by forum members.
That is a great deal!! Enjoy!Picked up 11 pouches of Amphora Virginia from a B&M nearby. Clearance priced at $2.99 per pouch. Heck of a deal.
Keep us in the loop! Curious about how the VA Flake challenges the HH Pure Va1x Ashton Gold Rush
1x Capstan Blue Flake
1x Mac Baren Virginia Flake
1x Mac Baren Vanilla Flake
I've been comparing various VAs all summer long, and the task has (blessedly) spilled over into autumn. The first two I listed here are staple favorites. The MacB VA flake will be a first time try for me; got a good feeling about that one, we'll see if it seriously challenges HH Pure VA. The Vanilla Flake I just threw in to compare with its loose cut relative.
How did I miss those?Just arrived today...
As soon as I heard @hoosierpipeguy scored some Sir John’s I was flying on the web! LOL

In my quest to find the perfect cherry aromatic for me, today I got a couple ounces of Gawith Hoggarth American Black Cherry in the mail!
I really love the flavor of Cult Blood Red Moon, but it's severely lacking in the Vitamin N department and always leaves me feeling starved for nicotine afterwards. I also like Mac Baren 7 Seas Red Blend quite a bit, which does have enough nicotine for my liking, but I find it rather tart and would prefer a sweeter cherry flavor. Gawith Hoggarth's Kendal Black Cherry is fantastic on every level and probably my most frequent smoke these days, but it's more of a floral cherry blossom flavor than pure cherry and it would be nice to find to have a good cherry blend without the floral Lakeland essence now and then; so I'm giving their American Black Cherry a try.
Be on the lookout for Sakura, it’s amazing!

P.S. I. noticed your mentioned Nic, this a medium nic blend.
If it wasn’t for the nicotine, would you say you like BRM the best?I check the KBV news blog every week waiting for Sakura to be back in stock! I've become such a huge fan of the floral cherry blossom flavor of Gawith Hoggarth's Kendal Black Cherry that I'd love to try Ken's take on a cherry blossom blend.
As far as the American Black Cherry goes, I just smoked it for the first time an hour or so ago and my initial impression is very positive! Like GH's other blends it's pleasantly dry right and not in the least bit goopy, and it's got a nicely realistic and enjoyable sweet black cherry flavor with little hints of almond and cinnamon here and there. The nic hit was a solid medium too and didn't have me reaching for a cigarette after the pipe was finished, which is something I always look for in a pipe blend. I'll have to smoke it a few more times before deciding whether or not it'll replace Mac Baren 7 Seas Red as the pure cherry blend in my rotation, but it certainly seems promising so far!
