I recently dipped into a half pound of the C&D Oriental Silk I'd bought a few weeks back at SP. I've smoked this blend for a long time and it has always been very smooth. This batch is rough and somewhat bitter. More like Orion's Arrow which I only tolerate. Wonder if they mixed them up.

Arrived about a week ago.
My Mom just returned from 3 months visiting my sister in the states and brought me one tin of Dan tobacco Blue Note, Squadron Leader, 4th Generation 1931 Flake and Old Joe Krantz. Tried the Squadron Leader and 1931 Flake. Loved them both. @JimInks was sure right about the 1931 Flake being a slow and cool burning tobacco.

Today I cellared 1.5 lbs PS LNF, 1 lbs Newminster 400, 4" each of G&H Brown Irish X, Black Irish X, Brown Bogie Twist and 3 tins of 3 year aged Three Nuns.
All the bulk was mylar bagged in 2 oz portions. It's very satisfying to get it all bagged and sealed for a nice long rest.

I was told it is going to be re-released in April. The tins they had at the Muletown Pipe Show were all new.
Ordered a couple inches of Rum Twist and an ounce of Faulkner Flake from Country Squire as a try-out.
