We had all kinds of Harnetts and Petos in part 1. It seems almost every American museum has a least one. I found this really strange one recently. It looks like it's signed by Harnett on the lower right. It's actually a Peto who signed very faintly in the upper left, which you may be able to see by adjusting the brightness on your monitor. This makes me believe the relationship may have been more than respect for an upperclassman with the same teacher and a few exchanges of pipes.They must have been very close for most of their lives. Since Peto outlived Harnett it could also be a tribute at his passing.
