Dang. You weren’t kidding.
I'm the kind of person who tends to hate popular bandwagons, whether we're talking pop culture, food trends, or tobacco. But sometimes, popularity occurs for a reason. In my opinion, Escudo is the Rolling Stones of pipe tobacco: popular as it is, that shit is the shit.
How so?

Opened a tin of Nov. 2022 Bob’s Chocolate Flake from Gawith & Hoggarth at Barry’s request while meeting with @Home Brewing Piper and @SmokingMedic at Prohibition Lounge in Green Bay. Great stuff!
Ran the 2022 Semois jar dry and had to head to the cellar for a replacement with some fresher stuff. Poppin the brick and a little update to the date on the jar...golden for another year or two. 
Had an open tin of about a 1/2 plug left of Aus Dem Krater and decided to dig the other one out of the cellar and just pre-slice everything and combine it into one for immediate use. EZPZ access style, no knife neccessary.
Did the same with the Salty Dogs. I was almost out and had one spare plug. This one is so dense it gets cube cut for easier rubbing. Plug and a 1/4 cut and jarred up for the smoking shelves.

Exactly the way they show up. They are bone dry already, so i just leave them in original packaging. I don't jar it till i'm gonna put it on the smoking shelves, but even that's really just a matter of homogeny in the stash.
