Vegas Baby!!!
If I wanted to watch Slap Shot, I’d put the DVD in.

My team, Vegas, is looking like undisciplined schoolyard bullies. It’s embarrassing.

I’m glad Reaves got tossed. Hopefully he gets suspended, then we’ll put a hockey player in his place. When he was out with injury we did great. I don’t like his style at all.

I keep thinking he has naked pictures of Deboer. I mean, why else would the slow poke start. His stats are atrocious

Go Canes, indeed! Hoping for more of the same with a different result, weird goal for Ned on the go-ahead, but he's played great otherwise.

What a cluster. This should turn into an intense series.

Punk moves by Reaves. Surprised Graves wasn’t ejected for that earlier hit on Janmark too.

Clearly the Avs are not rusty after time off. ?

I missed the game. What happened?
The Avs thoroughly destroyed vegas from minute 1. 7-1 final. Some ugly hits, things got chippy, it turned into a shit show.

Vegas played Robin Lehner to rest Fleury and he was terrible. At least 4 soft goals. Beyond goaltending, the Avs dominated Vegas in every aspect of the game. Faster, stronger, smarter, well rested, etc.

Game 2 will be different for sure, but this was by far the most one sided contest I’ve seen this year.

Did you see Fleury’s face after the game? You could have dipped it in dough and made what the fuck cookies.

Sometimes, a team can get rusty when they have several days off, waiting for the other teams to produce a winner. Not the case here, not one iota. Colorado can expect Vegas to come out firing in the next game. @alaskanpiper you're right, real chippy action in that game. Things should settle down though, and we'll get that nice, conservative playoff hockey we all know and love, low scoring, both teams clogging up the middle with their big forwards, etc.

Hahaha, yeah, honestly he looked more embarrassed for Lehner than he did pissed off. Can’t imagine the feeling poor Lehner must have right now. He is a decent goalie, a starter for sure. He just had an absolutely horrible night tonight and Fleury has been there. His face looked more empatheticly surprised than anything else.

Probably. Nobody likes getting their ass beat like that. It’ll be DeBoer’s job to make sure that translates to better hockey and not thuggery.

It’s easy to go there when the game is lost. But game 2 will be fresh start and I expect Vegas to be competitive, but lose.

When things go back to Vegas I think we’ll really see things even out. Colorado in 5 or 6 I’d say.

Oooh, little 6.1 earthquake just now up here. It was probably the delayed vibration from Mattias Janmark’s face hitting the boards in Colorado earlier.

Fun way to end an evening ?

Yep. I’m in the doghouse. Ran straight to the bourbon hutch to make sure nothing fell...

...apparently I should have gone to the kids.
