It's Fleet Week in NYC now. I'm pretty sure if some of the members here who categorically dislike NYC were to visit and spend an evening down on Christopher St. with the visiting seamen that they would go ga-ga over this city!

We just left Nantucket a few days ago. A friend who lives there took us on a tour of the island. The island is slowly eroding away. Every year several houses built along the south shore fall into the ocean. Has nothing to do with climate change, just the ocean doing what it does, but people are dumb enough to build close to the water. These aren’t old houses either. They were built in the last forty years or so.
