that plastic box you are so proud of is the worst thing you can keep all that tobacco in the way you have it 'regulating' with that boveda - it is a terrible obsessive method IMO

Who said anything about pride? ?

I was only showing a picture of the tobacco and how I store it is all, when humidity and dryness was being discussed, I just thought I’d show what I was doing is all.

Not sure what you mean about the Boveda? I just use it to help maintain humidity, they work great. I used them in the past with a Hawaiian Kaneila Koa Ukulele I use to own in the past.

Have you used Boveda packs before?

Wait, wait. You let yours go bad and won’t touch the stuff, but now you’re the expert on how to keep it? You must need two pairs of underwear to store those balls.

Are you a man's man or just a man or just a boy or a boy's toy? Rest assured my friend, as a long time cigar-user I have used Bovedas. The method which you are employing suggests to me that you have maintained a whole lot of instruments, mainly ukeleles and not enough tobacco. Take that tobacco out of that box - place the boveda in the jar if necessary for hydration.

I'll give a few reasons: Odor, moisture trap(not enough circulation), Ammonia and Gas buildup(another trap), the plastic releases VOC's
Erm..........ok.....right.......I just keep mine in the cellar without any plastic or Boveda's......but I keep my cigars in a tupperdor with Bovedar's

It's fine but different - your tupperdor is fine if you smoke the cigars in a reasoable amount of time, which you do? right!? right!? If you are leaving your stogie's in that tupperdor for years you need to get a proper cedar setup

I don’t stick my Tabac in plastic, you assumed when you saw the container I did, that’s because it was hard to see the contents with the lid on. The two tins were not transferred yet to jars is all, one just opened, and the other still new vacuum sealed.

If your conversation was in friendly banter, so be it, but it does seem condescending, and assumptive.

My Tabac is stored in Mason Jars, I just put them in the containers is all. ;)

Lid off.... :)

P.S. @shanez Sorry for these Off-Topic conversations.

that's better - leave the lid off- hydrate only the tobacco when necessary - if you are cellaring/aging just leave them like that - otherwise it looks womderful - I didn't mean to get at you that was me channeling John Wayne

LOL, yeah you were making me feel bad, it’s all good, I know it’s been a crazy year. :ROFLMAO:

I’m good on short term and long term storage, concepts, etc... ?

Stay Safe & Happy Holidays! ?

Thanks...

P.S. I don’t think the crispy Tabac Manil needs any hydration... LOL :ROFLMAO:

I do the same thing with my open containers and a tupperdor set up, but to keep them from getting too dry... I think it makes even more sense in a humid climate to keep tobacco in unsealed containers from taking on ambient humidity. I mean, so many tobaccos come too moist to smoke comfortably, and if leaving it out to dry makes it even wetter, it seems like a simple solution to me.
