Phonomet, this is fantastic. The box wasn't supposed to get there until Monday, so what a surprise, you have the weekend to enjoy the box! What did you try first? Not an easy decision!
Whole leaf: If you like Orientals, chose a straight Virginia and add about another third of the Prilep. The try it with the Basma. Just slice the leaf up with scissors. It may need to dry a bit, but just dry what you are using. It's packed moist so that it doesn't crumble in transit. So try that, and then maybe add some of the Latakia. It's all just a fun experiment.
Be sure to post some photos, you need to build anticipation with the folks on down the line!
ERRATA: I mislabeled the Kickin' Chicken. It is NOT a C&D blend, it is a blend from another forum, courtesy of Rsuninv. Let's also just pause a moment and give a rousing round of applause for over-the-top contributions that he made to to this box.

That's great phonomet! I hope you didn't take my post as a push of any kind, I was just having problems finding this thread and wanted to have it readily available.

... I was just having problems finding this thread and wanted to have it readily available.
Helpful Hint: You can "favorite" the thread up there in the title bar, which will email you updates whenever anyone posts. Also, the thread has been "stickied", so it appears at the top of the Pipe Tobacco Discussion sub-category from the main forum page.
Great to see this moving along!

Well if Cobguy is still smoking that briar bucket in his sig ...
Lol ... indeed!
The Country Gent is a favorite and I have 2 brand new ones and

a new Tom Sawyer waiting for sampling.
Along with my other planned contributions, I have a "new to me" favorite to share.

Unfortunately, it's soon to be discontinued.
Is there a good supply of ODF in there?

I just got another pound and planned on throwing a "healthy bagful" of that in too.
Damn ... I'm getting giddy!!

Thanks, Phonomet.
Here's a link to my eBay source for those bags, shipped from New York:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/310654306827
The 8x12cm bags will hold 50 grams/1.75oz

Labels can be removed from tins by heating the inside of the tin lid with a heat gun or blow drier and peeling slowly.
Now, I removed everything that was obviously ghosted with Ennerdale, but I expected that i missed some. Once that friggen stuff gets into your olfactory, it lingers for days and days, making critical sniffing damned near impossible. So if you come across a blend that was ghosted, by all means, remove it from the box.

I'm good with the complete eradication of Ennerdale if it's still in there. I've never smoked it, and although curious at best, I'm not keen it having it's hooks in other blends in the box. As they say, "the need of the many outweigh the need of the few." It's up to everyone else, but I'd say take it out all together. If you think about the temps in the box during shipping, it's nice little sauna in there for flavors to mingle. Ship it to someone that enjoys it. If it stays in, it should probably be triple bagged if not already.

With an expected delivery date of Friday 7/18/14 to Cobguy.
This brings a happy tear of joy to the corner of my eye.
Woodsroad ... that's hilarious!
I'll have the tractor beams ready to engage when the postal delivery ship approaches. :D

Hey guys ... the box is here!
I ran home quickly on my dinner break and took it inside.
While I didn't have time to unpack it, I did find GLP Key Largo sitting on the top.
With only 10 minutes left I loaded a small bowl (MM Mark Twain) and ran out the door with it. (YUM!)
Thanks again to all who participate in and make this possible ... I'm STOKED!!
