Update:
Finished sampling the Key Largo ... very good stuff!

The amount of Maduro leaf present makes for a very full, creamy smoke.

When sipped, the Va's and Latakia are present in balance but when puffed on the cigar leaf really comes out.

Spicy, rich and full ... new cellar acquisition for sure.
This morning, before breakfast, I took my coffee and a bowl of the 2005 Cumberland out to the patio.

OK ... I should have eaten first as this one has KICK!

This Burley forward blend is reminiscent of Haunted Bookshop and, while I enjoyed the change of pace,

is not one for me to cellar.
Up for tonight after work is J.A. Luxury Flake and 1998 X-mas Cheer ... really looking forward to it!

Did you try the Sterling Balkan?
Not yet ... the box is an overflowing plethora of sampling opportunities! :D
J.A. Luxury Flake was really nice ... simple and smooth with rich "matured" flavors and textures.
1998 X-mas Cheer was fantastic ... aged to the point of looking like DarkStar.
For some reason, I've been focusing more on the non-Lat blends at first, but I'll get there! :puffy:

a lot of commercial pipe tobacco is produced in a similar manner: A basic mix is topped with different sauces. Do this: Mix up a pound of Plan B2, then top/case it with Cognac, whiskey, rum, fume blanc, Zinfandel...yada yada yada.

I'm kind of dumbfounded by this. I don't understand why there aren't more members wanting to participate. Giant box of tobacco delivered to your doorstep. Try and trade samples for two weeks. That's a WIN/WIN in my book.

Well ... I tried to smoke it down to a manageable size but then I added the blends

that I wanted to add and I can't close the lid! :)
This has been a fun couple of weeks and it's almost time to say goodbye to the box.
There are at least three new blends that will be added to my TAD and many others that I just enjoyed trying.
Also ... please go ahead and add my name to the bottom of the list again!

For others who are considering getting in ... do it!

There are so many great blends to try and I'm adding four more.
Thanks again to all who started, contributed and make this Box Pass happen!

Well ... I've repacked this box three times now ... how the hell did you do that Phonomet?? :D

It's stuffed to the gills but after much effort, I'll be able to add to it.

We are approaching critical mass for this box size, however.

Very nice, cobguy. The folks downstream have some sampling to do. Invite some friends over, make it an evening.
Oh, and how are we stocked for mylar bags? Need more?
