It's Lane era, so it's not the real deal, not dure if it was even made in the old Richmond plant. But it's a burly, and I'm not sure how good an old tin of the stuff would be. STG owns the brand now, of course, so I would expect we might see a re-issue of it prior to the FDA tobacco ruling, in a bid for "substantisl equivalancy".
Robert, we're fortunate to live in a nice place, that we found cheap. 5 acres in the woods, surrounded by other homes on similar or larger lots. 100 acres of property in conservation easement abuts out property in the back.
I just spent 4 days working in NYC. It was great to see Simon, always great conversation over a good meal, but I was glad to back here today.
I'm rooting through the Box now. I repacked anything that wasn't in Mylar, tossed some stale stuff and pulled out a few samples with only a bowl left in the bag. I'll get the Box tidied up this weekend, and it will probably be GTG on Monday. I've selected a bunch O' baccy to contribute, and I'll post a list before the Box is mailed. All in all, it's looking good, I'm impressed with the quality of the selection and that there are 3 Esoterica blends in there!

There were still some bags left in the box, I assume perhaps from Jason? Additional bag contributions are always welcome and appreciated. I'd just like everyone to make sure that their contributions are snug and safe in a Mylar baggie.
What a huge difference between the box that I received jut 4 months ago and the box that I received today, just in terms of the contents being in good shape and not all cross-contaminated from being in ziplocs! The Mylar bags have been a big step forward, and I thank everyone who has helped by contributing them and keeping ziplocs out of The Pass.
Now, for folks down the line, we have some repeat customers coming up who got a rather sad box their last time around. Folks like rsuninv pumped a lot of effort and cash into turning this Box around. Look back at where we were 4 months ago, and at what rsuninv contributed:
He really helped us turn the corner and raise the bar on quality here. What a generous gesture he made. I was able to edit out a lot of old dried out krap back then, thanks to him.

Good morning all! My name is Eric Matsko and I would like to join your venerable ranks as a member of the box pass. I've PMed Woodsroad and have read all required documentation- the box is on a great streak right now and I look forward to adding to it's success.

I had a little more time to go through the box today, repack some stuff into smaller bags, and pull out what I want to try. I'm still getting over a bad cold, so no smoking for a while (sob). There were quite a few bags with barely enough in them for a bowl. I pulled a few that I really want to try, and left some in there. Please do not hesitate to take the last of something! Or, if you are so inclined, to refill a bag that is getting low, should you happen to have some of that blend on hand that you could spare.
In the spirit of the upcoming holidays, I'm paying it forward for Werebear, who is in a bit of a pinch right now, as are so many people in this great country, through no fault of their own.

They ship quickly.
The 8x12cm bags will hold 50g/2oz.
The 13x18 bags will hold well over 150g/6oz.
