It’s really amazing how a region and history can shape a political opinion. Very interesting, really.

I think a lot of it is ignorance of the details, and fear of new things.

if you took a worldwide political survey, I think one would find an overwhelming majority feel similarly, and it’s not how 1/3 of our country feels.

I don't take consideration of worldwide surveys... I'm not a murdering globalist.

I'm not saying you are either..

It's ok. He just doesn't know (aka he's cough #! &'ant) about naïve realism.

Problem is, since we only think we observe the world objectively, we assume that two people looking at the same thing at the same time will agree about that thing. But when they don't, we think the other person misunderstood. But when we have to admit they have the same info and display no cognitive deficits, we then conclude they're just assholes.
