My apologies for being late tho the show, but my monthly spend runs a$50-90 solely on tobacco. I ogle a handful of tins to add to my purchase of bulk I know I’ll smoke on arrival.

I usually spend between 500 and 1000 per month but this month I went crazy and I'm probably at 2000 in the last 30 days. Still trying to build my lifetime cellar. I'm getting to the point of just ordering special runs of things I really enjoy now and things on sale. I really need to start doing a spreadsheet to see where i'm at. I need to figure out how many years of tobacco I have and still need to get to the point that I'm comfortable. I don't usually smoke a lot right now as compared to most but im sure it will ramp up a bit with time. I'm still worried about taxes and regulations.
One been using a 1lb bag of whole leaf Latakia for 5 years, and I'm almost through my second half pound bag of perique in two years, so that's..... $3/month in tobacco. I buy about one and a half pipes a year so I think I'm in the neighbourhood of $15/month there.

About 3-6 times a day. I grow my own tobacco is the reason why my pipe tobacco cost is so low.
It happens. Since settling on meerschaum as my pipe material of choice I've been happy with a monthly IMP purchase but last night I snapped and bought a Yanik.
Hahaha I know. It's getting there though?

I never heard of a tobacco pepper. Is it just a subcategory of urban pepper, or is it more of the come-near-my-place-and-die-and-disappear missile silo variety?
My memory seems to tell me that in previous years I have grown 6 bright leaf varieties, 3 burleys, 1 Hungarian, 4 dark air cured, 2 cigar fillers, 3 Indonesian sun cured, 1 dark Virginia, 1 burley/bright hybrid, 3 Orientals, 1 rustica, and 1 unknown.
This year I have started 2 Hungarian, 1 rustica, 1 country cheroot, 1 dark Virginia, and 1 fire cured.
After reading your post I feel better about my spending. I started this month crazy, I blame Smoking Pipes for releasing a C&D Savinelli blend yesterday and then restocking on Peterson Flake today all after buying a new pipe. They found there sucker this week, this guy right here ?

That is a really good one also. It was probably my favorite also before I discovered Kajun Kake. I have tons of both but more Kajun Kake than anything now I think. It's really tough as I like a lot of variety but I'd say that has to be my favorite currently. I hear you on the 145. They got me too and may get me again if after I get it and try it I feel like I'll need more ?. Try Chenet's cake also. That's a good one too.
Much respect. I have some blending tobacco that I plan to experiment with home blending before I start looking into whole leaf.
Dunhill pipes appears to be either loved or hated here.
After reading what some members spend on smoking per month, I am confused why spending $1000 for a pristine Dunhill box set ,unsmoked except on Sundays by a little old lady , is such a big deal. I mean, I understand if you just don't like the brand, but apparently cost should not be a problem.
