Well what an adventure. Obviously I've not mastered the finer points of pipe photograghy with an iPhone. You may need to stand on your head for a better view, since, as a card-carrying dinosaur, I don't know how to rotate these photos. Anyway these are not " high end", but they pass for that within my budget. Represented here, not in order : Castello, Ser Jacop0, don Carlos, and Cavicchi. I like straight grains a lot. The don Carlos billiard has a cool ring grain which may not be discernible in these pics.
The last photo is a pipe cabinet I made, so these could have a proper home.
fun thread.

My 36 count Savinelli cabinet has tinted glass and three holes on each side so the can breath. The only few pipes that are in my living room are protected by tinted glass doors. None of my pipes get any damage from sunlight. All my vulcanite stems have no issues with oxidization.

Interesting! I suspect it's not only a question of sunlight, but of the quality of the vulcanite. puffy

These are Ashton Old Church pipes in the LX size. I tended to focus on this finish for collecting. They are unsmoked as they are a little big for me. They are dated from 1997-99 and were bought from Bob Gattis’ (Croft’s Tobacco shop) collection.

I had these out for the Houston Pipe Club meeting where we were bringing our larger pipes, so I thought I’d shoot some pictures.

My favorite is the brindle panel.
