I’m obsessed with Ashton’s lately, and my Rosslare Royal Irish’s are probably the most aesthetically pleasing pipes I own. I still marvel at the beauty of my RRI 6 every time I smoke it. You, sir, have excellent taste ?

I’ve had my eye on that one for several weeks...

I wasn't exactly profligate, but I did buy two Missouri Meerschaum cobs today. I'm reading a lot of Mark Twain lately, so cobs just seem to fit.

@hauntedmyst yes, sir! Pretty much the only pipes I buy of late. It’s a little X listed as a “tomato”, but looks like an apple to me.

Did not hurt too bad.... just starting to ditch odd things on ebay to balance the bank ?

Things are trickling in...I was pleasantly surprised that the Dunhill had a 14k yellow gold band added for aesthetics as per sp. Looks nicer in person than the pictures! And the Becker along with a shirt from country squire!

Awesome so far...hope these storms don't derail the rest of the goodies on their way!

Yes sir, single X. I love smaller pipes, planning on using this as a dedicated burley pipe (Solani Aged Burley, 3 P’s, and the like). I’ve seen quite a few of these small apples pop up lately. Won’t have mine for at least a week I’d think, so can’t say how it performs. Never been let down by Ashton yet, though!

I had my eye on an Ashton Pebble Grain Canadian, but an unexpected expense came up yesterday that kicked my budget in the nuts. As far as consolation prizes go, though, I've had a crush on these Peterson Newgrange Spigots for a while. I know not everyone is a fan, but I am, so I bought it. It's weird, I do not really like smooth, ebony pipes, but black blasts and rusticated pipes are among my favorites.

Ashton shaping can be really hit or miss for me, but holy shit, they do an incredible job with apples/princes/tomatoes. All those little, round guys! Great pipe.

Beautiful Ashton! Congrats.

I've been looking at a few of them myself, and I have a question for the experts:

I can't say I know a lot about them (only the basic story...and I own only one) so maybe this is not unusual, but I was under the impression that they all had the red dot on the stem.

So I'm just curious as to why this particular one below does not. I've not yet seen any other new Ashton that doesn't have it...any thoughts?
