This has to be some kind of record for a Loewe, but what a pipe!


The bid history is interesting, suggesting that one bidder either retracted out or was kicked out.

I was going to take a shot at this Barling's Fossil. The one thing that gave me pause was the stem. The poor photos only show it might have had the stem stamp. The button doesn't look Barlings like to me as well. But at close to $300, I had to pass. I believe the stamping was from the 1962 or earlier era.

That is some truly terrible photography. In spite of that, someone had to have it and overpaid for it. We live in amazing times.

I bid on that one and lost. Like you, I think the seller did well.

I had placed a bid on this but it was cancelled and then sold privately (I assume). @rustiepyles was going to send it to you for a project. Oh well it’s the thought that counts right 😂
