I have visited TDPS and Iwan Ries. They both have superb customer service.
I would love to visit some pipe shops in Germany like Pfeifenstudio Frank.

Like cosmicfolklore and his Briary in Homewood, I am also somewhat annoyed and surprised that no one has yet mentioned McCranie’s pipe shop in Charlotte in the Park Road shopping centre. For all the same reasons, space, selection, knowledge, friendliness, a tobacco bar, a few rocking chairs, a pot of coffee, and since the building is freestanding and not within the confines of the other shops, you’re free to smoke from key opening to key closing. A treasure. I miss it. Highly recommended if you are a pipe smoker. They can also accommodate the lesser species of cigar smokers, but that’s a different hobby and web forum.

If indeed Marty rocked up in the DeLorean, I think I might like to have visited Charles Rattray’s pipe and tobacco shop nearby here in Perth, Scotland. But there’s no denying how fabulous that Dunhill shop must have been in its heyday!
Back in the day, most of those big tobacconists would've been awesome to visit. Even small tobacconists up and down the country would've had a great selection of tobaccos.

I don't know of too many, but as it stands I would like to visit the Country Squire. Maybe take a week and go to New Orleans, hang out for a few days, drive up to Jackson and visit the shop, and fly home from there. Sounds like a great little vacation!
I went to the Squire as part of my 40th birthday road trip. It did not disappoint. GREAT shop!

I found some photos of the interior of the shop and the blending room on the Perth museum archive website

Never really wanted to go to a shop and since vendors went online years ago, I haven't been to a shop in decades.

@BingBong did you visit this place before it shut? I remember you saying you lived in Perth many moons ago... If I may ask, what brought you to the town?
I got a job in Perth (railway, track and drainage engineering). I did drop into Rattray's on occasion, but mostly for unusual cigarettes like Sobranie Black Russian, Sobranie Cocktail and Sullivan Private Stock.
