Have you pulled it, yet?
Indeed I have. I layered whole flakes of each type, a half an ounce total and pressed for roughly two weeks. It came out of the press very dark and hard. Surprisingly, the smoke was a bit spicy to me, full and flavorful but could nip the tongue. My prep was to slice it very thin and rub out. Next time I will add some unflavored cavendish before pressing. I usually do this when smoking either blend separately, not sure why I didn’t with this experiment.

So I took a blend C&D Opening Night, I smoked it out of the Tin. I then pressed them into cakes. They held up in a puck shape rather dense. Their shape is still holding very firm.

I then stoved the puck on the left in the jar. I let it rest maybe a day in the jar. I took it out, still moist, I broke off some of the cake, rubbed it out. It turned into something truly smokeable within 2 days of opening the tin.

I did the same with some Sutliff 515- RC-1 I did however not stove the RC-1 at all. I let the RC-1 cake rest for about 1 day, and it too had mellowed out quite well. It was truly good to smoke as well.
