So, we need three categories: largest percentage increase; biggest absolute increase; and highest quality increase. So, I don't win or place in any category, and maybe show in one. Onwards!

I don't feel so bad now that I've seen some of the other PAD addicts. I don't have an official count for my 2015 PAD, but I tried to keep the purchases under 2 pipes per week. Nearly all estates. And yes, I have refinished some of the brand new pipes I've bought as well. PRD. Pipe restoration disorder.
Scrooge, that is the Mecca of PAD. I shall journey to thy shrine of briar and smoke three bowls before my time is up.
Hats off to you sir.
@bonehead,

Actually it's minus 72 pipes. :puffy:

I started smoking a pipe in September and since then I bought 4 MM corn cobs, 1 clay pipe, 2 briars (an Erik Nording and a Peterson System 31). All new. That's all I have for now. 2016 will be the year for me I guess :)

35 pipes for me in 2015. A good year the way I see it. Most of them were in the first 8 months of the year. :puffy:

My best buy of the year was a Zack24 Snapping Turtle bought at the NOLA Pipe Show. That being said by PAD for the next 5 or 6 years is on hold while I pay for my lastest Nissan TAD - just picked up a 2016 Frontier.

I actually just got one, 2014 was the year I hit the motherload at an antique store, since then I've made a point not to go there as I always seem to leave with a pipe more than not. I just got a butz choquim versailles that is pretty much the same shape as a Canadian I couldn't say no to at the price of 15$. 2015 for me was the year of straight razors, hones, and strops.

Mine was more a case of me trying to figure out what type of pipes I like.
I feel this describes me too. When I find a new hobby I always go a little past normal in the excitement , then settle down. Even in the adrenaline stage I think all were under $40 tops. All have been estates and cleaned up by me. After trying the style, I have liquidated on eBay the less liked. I can see that two years(smoking pipes since Jan 2014) is barely enough time to get a tiny understanding of the basic tobacco blends and how they smoke in different style pipes. This is my favorite pipe so far: Nino Rossi 1886 Speciale -less than $20
