I got 500g of ennerdale and a 4 oz chunk of bosun plug to compare to the precut version.
That proved subjective to the individual as well.Somewhere there is a thread with a sauce scale
If you want truly mild Lakeland though, grab some Stonehenge.which of these is the one to get if you like mild lakeland but strong tobacco
I like St. Bruno - I don't want something smothered in flavorings though
well I liked Warhorse Green(for the licorice) and Sam's Flake - so I think I'll do the happy brown sliced like you recc. but anything else while I'm here?If you want truly mild Lakeland though, grab some Stonehenge.

Lakelands: Let's Build A Sauce Scale :: Pipe Tobacco Discussion
I just fired up some Coniston Cut Plug and read the thread concerning Ennerdale. I've enjoyed the Lakelands I've tried so far and I realize that I've only scratched the surface. For the sake of myself and other "saucy" smokers, let's build a comprehensive list of all things Lakeland and try to...pipesmagazine.com
Glengarry and Grasmere aren't nearly the bombs that Ennerdale is.well I liked Warhorse Green(for the licorice) and Sam's Flake - so I think I'll do the happy brown sliced like you recc. but anything else while I'm here?
You'd probably like Mixture 79.well I liked Warhorse Green(for the licorice)
Maybe Coniston Cut Plug and also try the Cherry and Whisky brown twists.well I liked Warhorse Green(for the licorice) and Sam's Flake - so I think I'll do the happy brown sliced like you recc. but anything else while I'm here?
Glengarry seemed barely flavored to me. Been a long time is I’ve tried Grasmere. Ennerdale is simply amazing.Glengarry and Grasmere aren't nearly the bombs that Ennerdale is.
How's the Scotch flake? Is it your typical Va flavour smoke?I saw my email notifications this morning.
Picked up:
1x 500g Ennerdale
2x 500g Scotch Flake
I already have enough of their other stuff that I enjoy.
I mostly is but it has chocolate added which is noticable when smoked cool. Smoke it fast and hot and it picks up spice, like most VaPers do, and the very mild Lakeland floral essence becomes a touch more noticeable. How's the Scotch flake? Is it your typical Va flavour smoke?
i have gotten several blends from the last two drops, in January and in April. They were incredibly fresh, much like the old days when Sheffield was the importer and didn’t let stuff sit in the warehouse waiting on shops to order x $ in Pipes and y $ in cigars before they would allow you to order GH.Hey so this is my first time buying bulk from “fresh drop”
does that mean that this tobacco is fresh and the sauce will not have faded as the bulk lakelands do over time? (Or so i have heard)
Dark Flake Unscented & Happy Brown Bogie are strong, to me, and among my favorite GH&C blends.which of these is the one to get if you like mild lakeland but strong tobacco
I like St. Bruno - I don't want something smothered in flavorings though
Bob's Chocolate flake was my biggest pipe tobacco disappointment. I liked it but I was hoping for more then o.k..Just picked up some Bob's Chocolate Flake, Bosun Plug, and Coniston Cut Plug.
You know the stuff'll go quick!
