Sorry for Off Topic, if anyone can let go of a couple of pouches, or a 7oz tin of the Georgia blend, or who has them online, please send me a PM. Thanks :)

P.S. It would be nice for Jim to review if he hasn’t.
I haven't. Don't have either of them in my "cellar".

Do they make a Match blend of SWR? They do for CH (Chatham Manor) & PA (Duke Albert), but I haven't seen one for SWR.

They did not. They made matches of John Middleton blends when they were discontinued. It was thought that CH and PA might not stick around in the purge, so matches were made of them.

I have some SWR to spare from my 14 oz tub made in the old Tucker, GA location. I can also spare some from my 7 oz tub made in Denmark. I also bought a pouch of SWR made in Denmark which I think has a more noticeable topping than the 7 oz tub which I'm also happy to share. I'm fairly new to this platform so not entirely sure how to PM you.

I can say that Sir Walter Raleigh as we know it has passed away with the do do bird. The Scandinavian Tobacco Co. version is completely horrid. Both SWR regular and aromatic were my all day smoke for years before I changed to Prince Albert. Lanes SWR was more like dry chunky granola the the best taste and the most pleasant pipey room note. Now it's ribbon cheaply made garbage that smells like putrid vinegar. I bought 6 tubs of regular and aromatic before the old stock dried up. I actually did that with all the old Lane blends except Granger. I had a very weird premonition that Denmark was going to ruin my beloved Lane Limited blends so I spend a lot of cash stocking up on stuff when they made the announcement that the Tucker plant was closing.

I guess I have a rare tobacco then. Bought this SWR aro pouch in 2021, smoked a bowl and although it smelled good, liquorice chocolate didn’t have enough nic and body to keep me interested, so I cellared it and used the pouch for daily adventures…

it says produced by STG lane limited made in Tucker Georgia on the back, guess I’ll try another bowl and give it a proper ball jar!

Smoking pipes still lists this as a made in usa tobacco. I think they may be a little behind on current events.

"Sir Walter Raleigh pipe tobacco was first introduced in 1927 and is currently produced in the United States. Sir Walter himself was introduced quite a bit earlier, the 1500s in fact, and became known for many deeds of valor and courage, as well as the man who popularized smoking in Europe. Sir Walter Raleigh's Aromatic is a unique blend of aged Burley and Virginia tobaccos flavored with imported French and Dutch liqueurs for a rich aroma and a mellow, comfortable smoke."

I hope they haven't changed the recipe but given that they may be using tobaccos sourced from a different place, I'd say it's inevitable. I can't stand the aromatic version. Regular is a great tobacco for an OTC blend.

So is all new SWR a vinegar flavored ribbon cut? Was this a one-off accident or is this the new recipe?
This was my go-to pouch tobacco and I just emptied another pouch... I had assumed nobody would dare mess with a classic. This is like remixing Sgt Pepper as EDM and burning the masters. Sacrilege.
