I like those suggestions. In fact, I had my very first bowl of some HH ODF earlier today. I was blown away! The C&D super balkan has been on my radar as well as the bayou night. I also recently got 4oz of some Old Joe Krantz and really really like it. Definitely made some notes here, thank you for the suggestions.
Just tried some PS400 Superior Navy the other day. LOVED it. Excited to try the Mac Baren as well. I see the Newminster Navy Flake gets a lot of attention as well.
I just recently received some match Victorian, based on your recommendation if I'm not mistaken in a previous thread I posted. My ARMY buddy, who got me into pipe smoking, YORKTOWN is his go to blend, and he's been trying to "sell" it to me for quite some time now. The bullseye flake is currently is at the top of my list. Note there is a lot of Burley there the Balkan and the Bayou have it too gives the English/Scottish a bit more umph

And pipe smoking is a solitary hobby so who needs the friends I would inevitably burn.
Heck I’d buy Pananauzzzaeance just for the label. (My spell check wants to correct that to “pa from Ibiza”)

Assuming that you can find 6 bags. The whole scene surrounding Esoterica seems to have become really toxic in the last couple of years, and the product has slipped. I'm happy I bought mine years before it became the idée fixe of flippers, back when nobody cared about any of it, except for Penzance. No need to show up in a dark alley at midnight. No need to know someone who knows someone, get on private lists, dance through hoops, any of that baloney. All that the hysteria has done is screw everyone. And for what? Tobacco?
Even as “special” as tobacco is here, I’ve yet to personally meet a pipe smoker in the shire who values it more than forging a friendship over a shared bowl.
